Q. How do you screen potential volunteers?
A. All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application and obtain a criminal background check and fingerprinting from the local sheriff's department. Volunteers then go through a complete interview process.
Q. Besides volunteering as a mentor, what other ways can I help?
A. You can assist U.N.I.T.Y of NC Inc. by serving on an Advisory Commitee, Board of Directors, providing office space, workshops, trainings, donating time, money, goods, and services.
Q. What should I do if I want to volunteer as a mentor?
A. First complete your volunteer application, mail it in and someone from the organization will contact you to further discuss this.
Q. Is there an orientation or training for volunteers?
A. Yes, you will be asked to attend a brief training/orientation prior to volunteering.
